Getting your home ready for a move-out clean
Organize belongings, access, and cleaning priorities before handing over the keys.

Coordinate the moving schedule
An empty home makes surfaces easier to reach. Discuss whether furniture and boxes will still be present and choose a cleaning date that works with your moving and handover plans. Confirm availability rather than assuming a particular time can be accommodated.
Share the property requirements
Review any cleaning instructions from the lease or property manager and share them with the cleaning team. Identify appliances, cabinets, bathrooms, and floors that need attention, and agree on the tasks included in your visit. Cleaning does not guarantee a deposit return.
Arrange entry and utilities
Discuss keys, entry codes, building rules, parking, and access to water and electricity. Remove personal belongings and handle any items that must be discarded before the visit. Let the team know about delicate surfaces or areas that should not be touched.
